11 Tools Reflection!!!!!

1.) My favorite thing about 11 Tools was discovering PhotoStory again. I had totally forgotten about it. I know the kiddos will love it when I use it in the classroom.
2.) To be honest, this really made me think about me using technology in the classroom. I always thought, "I teach Kinder! This doesn't work!!" In reality, it'll make teaching more fun.
3.) I was shocked when I found myself actually enjoying doing the activities. It made me realize that there's so many things out there that can aid my teaching.

Tool # 11

Ok, I'm finally here, Tool 11!!!
As for digital citizenship, I would teach my kiddos to just be nice. I teach Kinder and I don't think they fully understand that not everything on the Internet is true. Some of them know the difference between right and wrong so I would give them kid friendly examples of things not to look. I don't think 5 year olds are evil enough.....yet! :)

Tool # 10

The only app that I could use in my Spanish speaking classroom would be the Alphabet Tracing. I saw a phonics one but it was in English. It would be great to have some Spanish apps for my kiddos to use.
I've used an itouch before and it's kind of addicting! I couldn't put it down!
The only way I see my kids using the itouch would be for alphabet games or matching stuff. I'm not a fan of just having a bunch of games in the itouch and calling it "educational".

Tool # 9

I really liked Jing! The idea of "capturing" a screen is really cool. I do see myself using Jing in my classroom because I teach Science and Social Studies in Spanish to SLLs and ELLs. It would help them understand things a little better. As for Skype, I have a personal account that I use to talk to my family in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon. To be honest, I really don't know how I would use it in my classroom.

Tool # 8

I downloaded these two videos from Youtube. They're really funny. One is on the Spanish Alphabet and the other one is on the 5 senses. I've used Youtube before in Science lessons. The kids love it!

Los 5 sentidos- Canciones infantiles.

Órale, El Alfabeto

Tool # 7

Here is a video of my wedding last Saturday! :)

I love PhotoStory! I used it in college and several other times for family stuff. Since I teach in Spanish, I can create a movie using lots of pictures to help my SLL.

Tool # 6

I navigated all 3 sites and found it Wikispaces easier. You just create an account and you're done! To be honest, the only way I see me using this is for a classroom website. Other than that, I'm not really sure. I mean, it would be great for my kinder team to have one and like that we can share and create things together. Even as a school could be great!

Tool #5

I used Delicious to make my bookmarks. I found it easier because I already have a Yahoo account. The websites that I bookmarked were:
http://www.teach-nology.com/web_tools/graphic_org/
I really love this one! You can make any type of organizer and just print it out!
http://www.fisicarecreativa.com/sitios_vinculos/ciencia/children.htm
When I found this one I shouted for joy! I teach Science in Spanish and found really cool things!
